Albert John Bodie Obituary, Death – Albert John Bodie, a resident of Chesterton, passed away at the age of 77.
After a protracted battle with illness, Albert John Bodie, age 77, of Chesterton, Indiana, died away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.
His parents, Joseph and Virginia (Rosinski) Bodie, both passed away before he was born on May 21, 1945 in Hammond, Indiana. He was named after his father.
Albert is left by his devoted wife of 53 years, Pauline (Puleo) Bodie; sons, Paul (Michelle) Bodie and Joseph Bodie; grandchildren, Kristopher Bodie, Cameron Bodie, and Lillie Bodie; brothers, Charles Bodie and Timothy (Leeann) Bodie; sister, Maureen Bodie; as well as a large number of other family members and friends. After a long career in the field of substance abuse counselling, Albert is now retired from NIPSCO.
He was a member of the Calumet Lodge No. 379 of the Free and Accepted Masons. The family of Albert will hold a Masonic Service and Celebration of his Life at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Calumet Lodge No. 379, located at 902 Lincoln Ave. in Chesterton. A memorial gathering will take place immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University.
