Arnie Thornton Obituary, Death – Arnie Thornton, who had played football for Glentoran in the past, passed away last evening. He was 66 years old. He could look back on 63 years of experience. I would like to take this opportunity to express my deepest condolences, on behalf of the administrators and members of the Cookstown Glens Sports Club, to his wife, children, and any other members of his family who have been devastated by his passing. I am sorry that he was taken from his family so soon.
I am sorry that you have gone through such a terrible loss. During this difficult time, we want you to know that you and your loved ones are continuously in our thoughts and prayers. We hope that you find comfort in knowing that you are not alone. We want you to know that we are thinking about you and giving you our best wishes and positive energy. We have the deepest hopes that the realization that you are not the only one going through this may provide you some degree of solace.
Throughout his time spent playing football for Coagh, Arnie exemplified the highest levels of class and sportsmanship at all times. On the field, he was a legend in his own right. Many people are going to miss him tremendously. During the period that he spent working with us, the majority of the people who were a member of our organization considered him to be a friend.
You, Arnie, will soon reach the conclusion of the experience that you have been going through, at which point you will finally be able to unwind and take it easy. Michael RJ Wilson, who serves as the Chairman of the Cookstown Glens Sports Club at the present time, is a member of that club. Michael is a member of the club that we are talking about.
