Brian Watkins Obituary – On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, our beloved son, little brother, father, and friend to all of those whose lives he touched passed away. His unexpected death was a shock to everyone. Everyone he touched will always remember him as a kind parent and a loyal friend. He was 41. The birth of Brian came after the death of Brian’s father, Fred. Countless loved ones, including his son Brian Coyne, mother Jerri Chase (Cleve), sisters Lisa Bivens (Dan) and Kari Dickerson (James), brother Matthew Watkins (Abby), and eight nieces and nephews, will remember him fondly.
Many others will also miss him greatly. His death will be mourned in different ways by everyone there. Brian Watkins grew up in Bothell, Washington, the hometown of his parents, Jerri and Fred Watkins. In the Watkins clan, he was the last of his kind. Brian found great satisfaction in his relationships with his pals, in nature, in music, and in sports (especially baseball). When Brian was old enough, he followed in the footsteps of his father and grandpa by joining the military.
After finishing his military commitments, he settled in Illinois and has remained there for the past 23 years. Brian was a gentle and caring man who cherished his family and, in particular, his son. He supported and focused solely on his family. His infectious personality, including his laugh and smile, will be sorely missed. Funeral services will be held in Danville National Cemetery on January 23rd, 2023.
