Cale Frankart Obituary, Death – On Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 8:40 p.m. at Toledo ProMedica Children’s Hospital, Cale Thomas “Bubs” Frankart, 10, of Leipsic, passed away in the company of his loving family. On January 2, 2013, he was welcomed to Bluffton by his parents, Andrew and Connie (Rosengarten) Frankart, who still reside in Leipsic.
Cale is also survived by his parents, Tom and Nancy Frankart of Leipsic, his two siblings, Lindsay and Cole Frankart, who are still living at home, his maternal grandmother, Judy Rosengarten of Ottawa, his paternal great-grandmothers, Ruth Frankart of Leipsic and Judy Brandt of Findlay, his maternal great-grandmother Betty Bellman of Ottawa, his neighborhood grandmother, Kathy Martz, and his devoted aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal great-grandparents Paul Bellman and Virgil and Lollie Gerschutz, as well as his paternal great-grandparents Harold and Shirley Otto and Larry Frankart. Cale, a fourth-grader at Leipsic Elementary School, was a very busy pupil. He participated in a range of sports, including football, basketball, and baseball. Cale’s relatives called him many names, including C.T., Bubs, Smalls, Smalltown, and Smallville. In particular, he enjoyed growing sunflowers and watermelons.
He also enjoyed golfing, farming, and gardening. David Gravel was his preferred sprint car racer. In addition to racing RC cars, watching NASCAR (his favorite driver was Ryan Blaney), riding golf carts, 4-wheelers, and bicycles, Cale also enjoyed boating on lakes, mowing the grass, pulling tractors, collecting and trading sports cards, and creating team logos. Cale loved being different and had a large heart for people, despite the fact that he hated homework and got straight A’s. Sloppy joes, tacos, BLT sandwiches, and stick doughnuts with chocolate frosting were some of his favorite foods. Cale valued his connections to his friends and family above anything else.
