Christopher Meckley Obituary, Death – An unexpected death occurred in the family of Christopher Meckley, who was the son of the late Victor and Miriam (Weidman) Meckley. On May 12th, 1941, he was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. During the six years that Robert spent on active duty in the United States Navy, he was employed by the Navy as a Missile Fire Control Technician, 2nd class. Robert is a dedicated veteran. After he completed his military service, he went on to have a successful career as an electronics specialist.
Robert’s memory will be cherished by his wife, Margie; daughters: Kathryn Bilger of Ephrata, Barbara Fetter of Stevens, Suzanne Thiry (John) of Wyomissing, and Jennifer Reeder (Chris) of Wyomissing; stepsons, Michael J. Heydt of Gilberstville and Christopher D. Heydt (Lori) of Wyomissing; grandchildren: Michael, Christopher, Daniel, Matthew, Alison, Brendan, Erin, Brittany, and Cameron; step-granchildren: Dillon, Colin, and Garrett; and seven great grandchildren.
On Friday, January 6, 2023, at twelve o’clock noon, Robert’s funeral will be held at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., which is located at 739 Penn Avenue West in Reading, Pennsylvania 19611. At the funeral home, friends and family are welcome to gather at any time beginning at eleven in the morning until the commencement of the service.
