Debra Sue Sanders Obituary, Death – Debra Sue Sanders, age 60, of Cave City, California, lost her fight against illness on Thursday, May 11, 2023, and passed away at her residence on Friday, May 12, 2023. She was the daughter of Doris Jean Clark Emberton, whose husband Arnold Lewis Emberton had gone away, and the late Arnold Lewis Emberton, and she was born and lived in Jefferson County.

Her mother was Arnold Lewis Emberton. Debbie has spent the better part of the past 27 years honing her secretarial skills at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital, where she is currently employed. She is a regular worshipper at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, where the service of the Mass is held. She is survived by her mother, Doris Jean Emberton, as well as her husband, Mark Sanders; her two children, Lauren Moseley and Ethan Sanders; her three sisters, Sandy Byrd (Steve), Donna Morgan (Kevin), and Janet Hunley (William); and a number of nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives. Only her mother had gone before her in death among her family members; she was the only one. Her mother was the one who passed away before she did, as was her brother Clifton Ray Emberton. Her father was the one who passed away before she did. Funeral services will be performed at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 2:00 o’clock

In the afternoon, an interment will take place at the Hiseville Cemetery following the ceremonies. Visitation will be held at the funeral home commencing at 2:00 p.m. on Monday and will continue through the early morning hours of Tuesday. Donations donated in remembrance of the deceased could alternatively be made to the St. Helen’s Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society as an alternative way to show compassion for the family.
