An altercation that took place at 6:30 p.m. outside of the Grove J. Tuttle Elementary School in East Haven resulted in the death of a young man who was 15 years old. The victim was stabbed multiple times. Tuesday, according to information provided by the East Haven Police Department. Cecarelli had been “assaulted with a knife during a physical altercation involving several people,” as described by East Haven Police Captain Joseph Murgo, while the officers were conducting their investigation at the location.
This had occurred while the officers were looking into the incident. Following their investigation, the police arrived at this conclusion as a result of their findings. Murgo asserts that the altercation took place on school grounds, more specifically in the school’s courtyard; however, students were not present in the courtyard at the time that the altercation took place.
