Gerard Stillman, Obituary, Death – On Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, Gerard Joseph Stillman, 64, of Attleboro, Massachusetts, passed away following a very brief illness. He was taken there from Attleboro. On March 24, 1959, he was born in Boston, Massachusetts. His late parents were Charles Joseph Stillman Sr. and Carolyn Teresa (Faulstich) Stillman. Both of his parents passed away before he was born. Gerard, a member of the Class of 1977 at Norwood High School, continued his education at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering.
Gerard is now employed as an electronic engineer. After working at Raytheon in Norwood, Massachusetts, and Data General in Westborough, Massachusetts, he went on to become a devoted and loving caregiver for his parents. Gerard had a passion for driving and would frequently take trips either to his cottage in Conway, New Hampshire or to Florida, where he would visit his brother. Over the years, he put a significant number of miles on each of his vehicles, but he invariably referred to his 1998 Lincoln Continental as the best of the bunch.
Gerard found the most joy in being able to spend time with his wife’s family as well as his nieces and nephews. He was famous for always coming through with the ideal Christmas present, surprise treat, and helpful hand for the occasion. An unexpected phone call would frequently result in a trip to one of the neighborhood eateries for some soda, chowder, or calamari.
