Jalayah Eason Obituary, Death – Following the death of a 6-year-old girl on Friday in the Morrisania neighborhood of the Bronx, an investigation is being conducted. According to police sources, she was discovered unconscious with injuries to her wrist and torso. Her mother is currently being interrogated.
Just before 4 a.m., an unexpected 911 call came from an apartment on the 12th floor of the Forest Houses on East 165th Street. The caller, a mother with three kids at home, stated that one of them, Jalayah Eason, her 6-year-old daughter, wasn’t breathing. That girl was declared dead at the hospital less than an hour after that call.
Anyone who lives close enough can occasionally hear those kids, according to a neighbor. The neighbor, who resides one floor down and below the unit, could be able to offer some light on the potential darkness above. She claims that she heard children weeping and running back and forth on multiple occasions, and that their screams occasionally were deafening.
It’s awful for any woman with children, the neighbor added. The place was filthy when police arrived. A 3-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy were also discovered. According to police sources, both displayed bruising and ligature marks, which indicated shackles. The 8-year-old admitted to authorities that his mother had previously struck him. This is shocking, truly. Here, everyone keeps to themselves, according to local Mike Velez.
