James Nibbe Obituary, Death – James M. Nibbe, 26, of Lake Crystal, went suddenly at his home on August 31, 2010. A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal. The event will be presided over by Reverend Debbie King Quale. Guests will be welcomed by the family from 4 to 8 p.m. On Tuesday, September 7, 2010, the viewing will begin at the Lake Crystal Mortuary and will continue at the church one hour before the funeral.
The funeral will be held at Amboy’s Pleasant View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of the deceased can be made to the Blue Earth County Chapter of Minnesota Pheasant Inc. Mervin and Karen (Hengel) Nibbe welcomed their son James into the world on October 30, 1983, in Mankato. He obtained his graduation from Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial High School in 2002.
James Roelofs worked for Hank and Jan from the eighth grade until he graduated from college. He received his diploma from Minnesota West Community College’s Jackson Campus. He began working as an apprentice electrician for Maple River Electric in October 2005 and has been there ever since. James and Jennifer L. Gilman exchanged vows and married on May 24, 2008. He belonged to the Garden City Rod and Gun Club, the Minnesota Pheasant, Inc.-Blue Earth County Chapter, the Future Farmers of America, and the Ducks Unlimited Lake Crystal Chapter. James was a lovely son, stepbrother and stepfather, brother and uncle, and loving spouse and stepfather.
Fishing, hunting, and kayaking with his dog were Jim’s favourite outdoor hobbies. James enjoyed golf, sand volleyball, and working on multiple projects at the same time. Jim treasured the time he spent with his family and was always prepared to provide a helping hand to anybody and everyone.
