Jeff Dickman Obituary, Death – Jeffrey H. Dickman of Ellington abruptly left his home on November 22, 2015. Recently, he had a party for his 54th birthday with his loved ones. On November 21, 1961, in New Britain, he was one of two sons born to the late Herbert and Marjorie (Bertz) Dickman. After completing his high school education in Plainville in 1979, he enrolled at Central Connecticut State University to pursue a business degree.
At the time, he was employed at Electrical Wholesalers in the product sales department. Jeff wed Melissa (Vestal), his true love, in 1993. They made Ellington their home and took pleasure in hosting visitors on the deck, by the pool, or at their well-known Friday Wing Night. Jeff was well-known for his love of music and his prowess as a guitarist, and he always had his cherished wife by his side.
He also enjoyed visiting new places, going to the beach, attending concerts, and cheering for the New York Giants. Jeff had a tremendous zest for life and exuded happiness everywhere he went. He made the most of every day. In the brief time he was here, Jeff actually improved the world and was the glue that held his family together. He leaves behind a wealth of wonderful memories and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife Melissa, he also leaves behind his father-in-law Billy Vestal, sister-in-law Marianne Enes, and a sizable number of cousins, including his beloved relative and best friend Darlene Vereneau. He also leaves behind his close friends Nathan and Cheryl Vestal, Kristine and Jamie Galasyn, and Jennifer and Barry Moore in addition to Dave Loiselle. His goddaughter Becky Lorch and a number of other nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews are also left behind. Mark, his older brother, died before him. His favourite dog “Blackie” predeceased him, and his dog “Cinder” is also saddened by his passing.
