John David Barr Jr. Obituary, Death – John David Barr, Jr., a resident of Russell Springs who had been battling disease for a significant amount of time, went away at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville after losing his fight. He was 54 years old at that point in time. Before he was born on March 20, 1969 in Henderson, Kentucky, he was predeceased by both of his parents, John Barr, Sr. and Sharon Tripp Sullivan. He was named after his late father.
John had formerly owned both B & B Underwater Logistics as well as Lake Cumberland Canvas, however he has since parted ways with both of these companies. He enjoyed nothing more than getting out on the lake and going turkey hunting. These were two of his favorite activities. John frequently attended the Pleasant Hill Community Church as one of his destinations.
Surviving members of his family include his son, Colton Barr, who is survived by his wife, Chaley, of Russell Springs; his daughter, Brittany Barr, who is survived by her husband, Dan Thorne, of Indianapolis, Indiana; three sisters, Elaine (and Charlie) Buis of Russell Springs, Melissa Hill of Russell Springs, and Stephanie Alexander of Livingston, Texas; four grandchildren, Kian, Rylan, Cameron, and Lillianna; his stepmother, Sue Barr of Jamestown; and his
The funeral home will open its doors for viewing on Sunday at eleven in the morning, and it will remain open until the start of the funeral ceremonies at one in the afternoon.
