John Garlock Obituary, Death – The news that a person who was very important to both me and my sons had passed away came at a time when my family and I were in the midst of such a happy occasion. I was overcome with grief when I heard the news. I am creating this post so that it can continue to be displayed on my Facebook profile even when I am no longer here. I want it to serve as a constant reminder of how much of an impact this person has made on all of our lives. He was a young man at the time, only 39 years old.
John’s instruction was mostly responsible for Kyle learning how to communicate verbally, how to eat, how to relate to other people, and how to express his feelings. John was one of the kindest and most patient persons I’ve ever known, and he had the biggest heart of anyone I’ve ever encountered in my life. During those five years, he was with us virtually every day, and he taught us how to cope, how to grow, and how to understand how to deal with a new diagnosis of autism in our family.
He also taught us how to understand how to deal with a new diagnosis of schizophrenia in our family. Simply by being here with us, he accomplished this. In 2017, exactly two years after he moved from California to Utah, he wrote the most precious note regarding Kyle, which I have pasted below because I do not want it to ever get lost and because it describes the beautiful bond that he shares with Kyle and because it describes the beautiful bond that he shares with Kyle.
