Jonathan Logan Obituary, Death – The murders of two people in Pembroke are being looked into by the Ontario Provincial Police’s (OPP) Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment. On May 22, 2023, just before 3 a.m., police were called to a house on Mackay Street where they discovered two victims of serious injuries. Both people were taken to the hospital, where one of them was later declared dead. The second victim is still being treated for life-threatening wounds in the hospital.
Jonathan LOGAN, a resident of Renfrew County and 41 years old, has been named as the victim. Police are still looking into the death that occurred on May 19, 2023, just before 10:30 p.m. at a residence on Vimy Boulevard, where they discovered a person who had suffered bullet wounds. The person was taken to the hospital, where he was later declared dead. Before the police arrived, the culprit escaped the scene, and he or she is still at large.
The victim, according to police, was a target. The Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario, the Centre of Forensic Sciences, and the Renfrew OPP Crime Unit are working together to undertake the investigation under the supervision of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch. The OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit is offering support. The OPP is requesting that locals call 1-888-310-1122 (or 911) to report any suspicious activity.
