Judith Higginbotham Obituary, Death – On March 16, 2023, Judith L. Higginbotham, 80, of Rolla, Missouri, passed away. The late John Franklin and May Esther (Tippin) Laidig welcomed her into the world on March 8, 1943 in New York, New York. Her husbands William J. Higginbotham, Sr. and Ryan D. Moats, Jr., one brother, John Raymond Laidig, and one sister, Jean Laidig all predeceased her in addition to her parents.
Judith possessed several positive traits including independence, intelligence, love, and generosity. She appreciated birdsong, wildflowers, and a good book. Judith was a devoted supporter of the Central Community Church of God’s All God’s Children childcare program and had been a member of the church for a very long time. Judith spent many years teaching math to junior high and high school students in the Licking, Missouri school district. She also worked as an adjunct professor at East Central College.
She was referred to as “Mrs. H” by her pupils, and she had a profound influence on a great number of students. Judith earned mathematics degrees from Oklahoma State University and the University of Kansas, respectively (M.S.

On Friday, June 2, 2023, at 11 a.m., Pastor Dan Phillips will preside over Judith L. Higginbotham’s memorial service at the Central Community Church of God in Rolla. The Central Community Church of God is offered as a memorial choice in place of flowers.
