Lane Bauer Obituary, Death – After a valiant fight against cancer, Layne lost her battle with the disease on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the age of 45. She died away while surrounded by her family. Layne spent his life seizing every opportunity and savouring every second to the maximum possible extent. His work as a filmmaker allowed him to merge his two primary interests—creating and exploring the world—into one fulfilling profession.
Layne took advantage of every opportunity in his life to have an exciting experience, whether it was skydiving, swimming with sharks, or photographing grizzly bears in the north. Those who knew and loved Layne will always remember him for his contagious laugh, his generosity, his love of life, and his large heart. In addition to his devoted parents, Donna and Emmett, Layne is survived by his sisters, Rhea (Noel) Bernard and Tania (Roland) Doepker; his nieces Macala, Kassidy, Dana, and Haylee; and his nephew, Emmett. He is also survived by a large number of friends, family members, and coworkers who will remember him with affection.
