Marine dies in motorcycle accident: Yuma Arizona

Motorcycle Accident –  One of the parties involved in an accident that occurred on Monday afternoon and involved a motorbike and a semi-truck pulling a flatbed trailer lost their life as a result of the collision. According to the Yuma Police Department (YPD), officers responded to the incident on Monday about 1 p.m. in the area of East Palo Verde Street and Avenue 3E, which is close to the Yuma County Fairgrounds.

An active duty Marine who was 21 years old and riding a motorcycle southbound on Avenue 3E in Yuma was reportedly involved in an accident. The collision occurred, as stated by the Yuma police, on Avenue 3E. And around the same time, a semi-truck that was pulling a flatbed trailer and was driven by a man who was 21 years old was traveling north on Avenue 3E before making a turn onto Palo Verde Street heading west.

According to the Yonkers Police Department, the collision between the motorbike and the flatbed trailer resulted in the driver of the motorcycle being ejected from the vehicle.The motorcyclist’s head was protected by a helmet, but he was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident despite the fact that he had been wearing it. Additionally, the York Police Department has reported that the driver of the semi-truck did not receive any injuries as a result of the collision.

Although the York Police Department has claimed that it does not appear that alcohol played a role in the crash, they have also stated that an investigation into the incident is still currently ongoing. Marine Corps Air Station Yuma has provided evidence that the military member in question is currently assigned to the facility in question.
