Matt Lonigro Obituary, Death – In light of the news that Matt LoNigro died away earlier today, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to Matt’s family and friends. We are deeply saddened by this news. Before his untimely death, Matt was a friend to everyone, and he devoted himself to mentoring younger players in the game of lacrosse, which he was so enthusiastic about playing.
In addition to his role as director of Miller Place Lacrosse, Matt spent a large portion of his career serving on the board of directors for the Suffolk County PAL Lacrosse organization. This position was held for many years. In addition to that, members of his family had shares in the company Port Jefferson Sports.
His wife Julia, his children Abigail and Matthew Jr., and his mother Julia are the ones he will leave behind after he goes away. The untimely passing of our beloved buddy Matthew LoNigro at such a young age has made an indelible mark on each and every one of the people who are a part of our Community. Because of the unanticipated death of a member of our community who was held in the greatest regard, none of us can find the words to adequately convey how devastated we are, and we are rendered speechless as a result.
We ask that you remember the family of Matt in your thoughts and prayers during this hard time for them, as they strive to make sense of this devastating loss.
