Nathan Hibbitts Car Accident, Death – On May 24, 2023, sixteen-year-old Nathan Harrison Hibbitts walked into his new heavenly home after passing away. On May 22, 2007, Nathan Wesley Richard Hibbitts, the son of Wesley Richard Hibbitts and Keri Marie Long Hibbitts, was born in Augusta, Georgia. He was a pillar of strength for his entire youth group and a dedicated participant at Fleming Baptist Church. Nathan had a deep love for Jesus and a compassionate concern for the salvation of all of his friends. He prayed that God would accept everyone into Heaven.

Nathan was a member of the Augusta Eagles Sports Athletics team for both football and soccer. Golf, camping, Reese’s Cups, Taco Bell, and the Atlanta Falcons were some of his favorite things to do in life. Nathan was an avid supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs and a true Bulldog at heart. He made it a habit to irritate his youth pastor and others who supported “inferior teams” like the Tennessee Vols. His grandfather, Charles Hibbitts, passed away before him and was his immediate predecessor in death.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Brandon Hibbitts (Haleigh) and Tyler Hibbitts; his paternal grandparents, Jerry and Janet Taylor; his maternal grandparents, Jean and John Long; and a large number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. His paternal grandparents are Jerry and Janet Taylor, and his maternal grandparents are Jean and John Long. The people who knew Nathan best remember him as someone who filled their lives with an incredible amount of love, support, and happiness. He was a remarkable young guy who made a positive impact on the lives of a great number of people, which made him a treasured part of his community.

Fleming Baptist Church, located at 3027 Peach Orchard Rd, Augusta, Georgia 30906, will be the location of the funeral services that will be held on Wednesday, May 31 at 11 am. The services will be presided over by Reverend Pat Latta and Youth Pastor Mark White. After the service, the burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park. On Tuesday, May 30th, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm, the family will be present at Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors to greet friends and family.
