Patricia Eriksson Obituary, Death – Patricia, our cherished mother and wife, went away in the wee hours of May 13 in our family home in Sweden. My father, Per Anders Eriksson, my sister, Anna Aurora, and I share this news with heavy hearts. Patricia passed away in our family home in Sweden. After a courageous nine-month fight against cancer, she passed away while surrounded by her daughters, her husband, and her sister, Genie De Guia Abiad.
Patricia and Per have established their lives between their two homes, Osta in Sweden and Baguio in the Philippines, and those who are closest to us are aware of this fact. Patricia now considers Sweden to be her home because of the way its people have welcomed her into their communities and welcomed her into their respective cultures. Baguio City was and always will be her cherished home; it was also one that Anna, Per, and I learned to regard as our own in equal measure.
In order to say our final goodbyes to Mama, we will hold ceremonies in both Sweden and the Philippines. She will be cremated in Sweden, and then after a few months, her ashes would be taken to Baguio City, where a memorial service will be held in her honour. We are currently unable to provide any specific dates, but we will keep you updated as soon as we do.
We realise that there will be a lot of people who want to pray for mother, therefore we decided to set up an online novena for everyone who is interested in participating. The beginning of the Novena is set on Monday, May 15th. Even though it will be the third day since she passed away, today will be the first day of the Novena that will last for nine days. The link to zoom will be provided on this page in a short while.
