Rod Cleveland Obituary, Death – On December 24, 2022, Rodney Adams Cleveland, age 91, of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, passed away in a tranquil and serene manner with his family by his side. His parents, Edwin and Lena (Adams) Cleveland, were overjoyed to welcome their son into the world on July 24, 1931, and they did so at Deer River, Minnesota. Rod was granted his certificate upon completion of his studies at Deer River High School.

After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy so that he could pursue a career in the military. After serving for four years, he moved back to his birthplace of Talmoon, Minnesota, and it was there that he met Shirley Ann Probst, the person with whom he would spend the rest of his life. He was married to Shirley Ann Probst till the end of his life.

They moved into their new home in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, not long before tying the knot on September 21, 1957, marking the beginning of their married life. They were a beautiful couple that worked together to establish a caring and supportive atmosphere for their five children, which consisted of four sons and a daughter. Rod and Shirley were blessed with five children.

In 1992, following Rod’s retirement, the pair packed their bags and started out on their adventures. They spent the fall and spring at Branson, Missouri, and had a lovely time enjoying the mild winters in Arizona. You may find Rod taking part in the activities of his grandchildren, fishing in Canada with “the Cleveland Clan,” or driving his vehicle through the woods when he wasn’t on the road performing. He will be remembered forever as a man who was compassionate and kind, who had a wonderful sense of humour, and who put his family ahead of anything else in his life. His legacy will go on. Rod’s father, Edwin (Burney), as well as his mother, Lena Cleveland, and his baby son Stuart, as well as his sisters Bertha and Luella, and his brothers Donald and Edwin, all perished away before he did.
