Terry McDermott Obituary, Death – Terry McDermott, who was one of the most incredible athletes in the history of our country, left early on Saturday morning while he was joined by his family and friends. McDermott will be remembered as one of the most spectacular athletes in our country’s history. McDermott was unquestionably one of the most remarkable athletes in the annals of our nation’s history.
During the course of our nation’s history, he was a sportsman who had a great deal of success in a variety of competitions. It is safe to state that he was one of the most accomplished athletes that this country has ever produced. He won multiple championships in his career. Throughout his career, he was victorious in a number of championships.
After hearing the news, those associated with US Speedskating, including the organization’s family members and those who are particularly close to it, are in a state of total and complete disbelief. During the course of his career, Terry’s involvement in skating and his contributions to our sport have both had a tremendous impact on the sport as a whole. This has been the case regardless of which aspect of his career is being considered.
This is especially the case with reference to our chosen athletic endeavor. The effects of this have been seen across the board, impacting every facet of the sport in observable ways. Our condolences, thoughts, and prayers are with Terry’s family, as well as the many skaters in our sport whom he was able to inspire throughout the course of the many decades that he spent competing in this sport. Terry was a pioneer in the sport of figure skating, and he was able to inspire a generation of skaters. Throughout his career, Terry was a trailblazer in the sport of figure skating, and as a result, he was able to motivate a large number of skaters. We are going to miss Terry’s presence in this room with us. We will miss him.
