Ty Scheffer Obituary, Death – It is with great sadness that we must inform you that Ty Scheffer died away late on Saturday, May 20, 2023. On May 28th at 1:30 p.m., there will be a truck parade in Lynden that will be directed by Jerad Foskett. The event will take place at 8971 Guide Meridian Rd. On Monday, May 29 at four o’clock in the afternoon, a memorial service will be held at the cabin that the Vander Veen family owns on Lindsay Road in Everson. We ask that you continue to pray for us.
He will be sorely missed by everyone. The body of Tyler Schaeffer, a senior at Beulah High School who had been reported missing, has been located. A local resident in Beulah discovered the body late last evening close to the area in the Knife River that was being searched by police and search and rescue dive teams. Banners honoring the graduating class of 2022 are hung from the light poles in the downtown area of Beulah.
The photograph of Tyler Schaeffer may be found at this location, and it is easy to spot because the neighborhood has erected a memorial beneath his flag in order to express their sorrow over the loss of their friend and classmate. “Certainly, it is always difficult to lose anybody, particularly in a small town; nonetheless, it is particularly difficult to lose someone so young and in such unfortunate circumstances.
According to Pastor Kent Sperry, who serves at Prince of Peach Church in Beulah, “It just takes a toll on everybody.” Despite the fact that the police and the community had hoped for a better outcome, they are relieved that the case may now be closed. “You know that all of us are upset, but we were able to accomplish what we set out to do, and that was to bring Tyler back home,” said Chief of Police Frank Senn. Now is the time when the community will start to mend.
