Wayne Casey Obituary, Death – The committee and the members of the club are in astonishment and at a loss for words after hearing the devastating news that our beloved friend and current vice president, Wayne Casey, had passed away unexpectedly in the wee hours of this morning. Even though it is still very early, we want Patsy and Michael to know that we are thinking of them and that we are offering our most sincere condolences to them during this trying time.
We are sorry for the loss of their loved one. Wayne had a soft spot in his heart for the town of Stowport. As a club, we were extremely fortunate that this once-in-a-lifetime club person agreed to give his spare time to assist us in our efforts to make our club a more welcome and pleasurable environment for members. He helped us in our efforts to make our club a more friendly and enjoyable environment for our members.
We all knew Wayne as a permanent member of the Stowport community who had a big impact on the development of our club to the point where it is now, particularly with the building of our new club rooms in 2015 and our day-to-day operations all the way through the season. It is wonderful to have someone who assists without being asked to do so and who is an active member of the group.
Wayne has been a contributor in a number of various ways over the course of thirty years. In 2018, he was honoured with a membership for life at the club. We would not have the club or the facility that we do today if it were not for our longstanding buddy and his doting and encouraging wife, Patsy. We are pleased that you were able to watch the A Grade lads bring home another flag because I am aware that you were our most enthusiastic supporter that afternoon.
